Qualification: LLB / Law Graduate from a recognized University

Assistant Manager (Law) – JMGS-I Graduate with a Degree in Law or Law Graduate from a recognized University in India. Candidates having a 5-year Integrated Law Course may be given preference. Mandatory Experience: 02 years experience as a practicing Advocate enrolled with Bar Council, OR 02 years experience as Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks, OR Combined experience of practicing Advocate and Law Officer totaling 02 years. Deputy Manager (Law) – MMGS-II Graduate with a Degree in Law or Law Graduate from a recognized University in India. Candidates having a 5-year Integrated Law Course may be given preference. Mandatory Experience: 04 years experience as a practicing Advocate enrolled with Bar Council, OR 04 years experience as Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks, OR Combined experience of practicing Advocate and Law Officer totaling 04 years.

The SBI Law Officer examination consists of an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test. General Aptitude comprising Reasoning and English Language is qualifying in nature only and its marks will not be considered for final merit. Professional Knowledge and Descriptive Test scores will be used for merit preparation. There is no negative marking in the examination.
