Job Description
Introduction BEML Limited, formerly known as Bharat Earth Movers Limited, is a prominent Government of India Enterprise operating under the Ministry of Defence, known for manufacturing earthmoving equipment, defence products, and rail & metro systems. Through its BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification, the company has opened applications for engaging a large batch of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, giving fresh ITI, Diploma, and Graduate candidates a structured, hands-on training opportunity across its key manufacturing units. Vacancy Overview This recruitment drive covers a total of 1346 apprenticeship training slots, spread across four major BEML complexes: KGF Complex leads with 608 slots, Bangalore Complex follows with 400 slots, Mysore Complex offers 227 slots, and Palakkad Complex provides 111 slots. Each complex offers openings across a wide spread of trades — from engineering degree disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, and Computer Science, to diploma-level engineering trades, general graduate streams like B.Com and BBA, and a broad set of ITI trades including Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, and Electrician. It is important to note that the notified number of slots is provisional and may be adjusted by BEML based on actual organisational requirements and applicable reservation norms. Eligibility Candidates applying for BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must hold a full-time, regular qualification matching their chosen trade — this includes 4-year engineering degrees, 3-year general graduation courses, 3-year diplomas, or ITI certifications of 1 or 2 years' duration depending on the trade. A key eligibility condition is that the qualifying result must have been declared within three years of the application closing date, and the qualification must come through regular full-time study, since correspondence, distance, or online modes are explicitly excluded. Candidates who are awaiting their final results, have not yet turned 17, or have previously undergone or are currently undergoing any apprenticeship elsewhere are not eligible to apply under this notification. Age Limit The minimum age requirement for BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is 17 years as on the date of application. The notification does not specify any upper age limit, making this opportunity accessible to a wide range of eligible ITI, Diploma, and Graduate candidates. Salary Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend based on their qualification category during the one-year training tenure. Graduate (Technical) and Graduate (General) category apprentices will receive ₹12,300 per month, Diploma holders will get ₹10,900 per month, while ITI trade apprentices will be paid either ₹9,600 or ₹10,560 per month depending on the specific trade and its prescribed duration. This stipend is subject to satisfactory attendance and performance throughout the training period. Selection Process Unlike many recruitment drives, BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 involves no written examination and no interview. Selection is purely merit-based, relying on the percentage of marks candidates secured in their final qualifying examination. A trade-wise and location-wise merit list is prepared in a 1:5 ratio against the available training slots, after which shortlisted candidates are called for document and certificate verification. Based on verification outcomes, a final merit list is drawn up, and eligible candidates are issued an Offer of Engagement as per available slots, with the remainder placed on a Reserved Waiting Panel that gets replenished as further vacancies open up. Application Process The application process involves two distinct stages. Candidates must first register on the appropriate national apprenticeship portal — NAPS for ITI trade candidates, or NATS for Degree and Diploma candidates — and complete their profile with all necessary document uploads. Once this registration/enrolment number is obtained, candidates proceed to apply through the dedicated BEML recruitment portal, filling in their personal, educational, and enrolment details, uploading supporting documents, and submitting the form online before the deadline. There is no application fee for this recruitment, making it accessible to candidates from all backgrounds. Important Dates The BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification was released on 18 August 2026, with the online application window opening the same day. Candidates have until 08 September 2026 to complete their submissions, with the online portal remaining accessible until 11:00 PM on the closing date. Conclusion The BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 offers a genuinely accessible pathway for ITI, Diploma, and Graduate candidates to gain valuable industrial training experience at one of India's leading defence sector manufacturing enterprises. With no application fee, no written test, and a purely merit-based selection process, eligible candidates are strongly encouraged to complete their NATS/NAPS registration promptly, gather all required documents, and submit their applications well before the 08 September 2026 deadline to secure their place in this substantial apprenticeship programme.
